Ingredients
1 pound organic bulk Italian sausage
1/2 cup chopped pancetta
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups organic heavy (whipping) cream
2 cups organic chicken broth
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Sea salt (optional)
2 cups chopped kale
Directions
- In a large pot, sauté the Italian sausage, pancetta, and onion over medium heat until cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Season the soup with salt (if using), and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the kale and simmer for 5 more minutes.
