kcalThis spicy, meaty sauce can be served over just about anything, but it’s especially captivating over lightly sautéed zucchini noodles.
Ingredients
2 cups Rhode Island Red Marinara Sauce
1 pound organic bulk sausage
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the marinara to a simmer over medium heat.
- In a medium skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat until cooked through, stirring to break up any clumps, about 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to add the meat to the marinara.
- Add the green bell pepper to the skillet and cook it in the fat rendered from the sausage until soft, about 3 minutes. Stir it into the marinara.
- Cover the marinara pot, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve.
