Crispy Kale Chips
This recipe is delicious as well as nutritious. Enjoy these chips with a quick dip in some Ranch Dressing or on their own as a filling snack. Keep an eye on these while they're baking-they can burn very quickly.
Ingredients
2 cups kale, cleaned, leaves trimmed from stalk
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Tips
If you have an oil-dispensing spray can, use it on these kale chips. Too much oil will weigh them down, causing them to burn instead of crisp, and too little oil will leave them wilted. The ability to coat each leaf evenly makes a big difference.Directions Preparing:5 minCooking:25 min
Step 1Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Step 2In a large bowl, add kale leaves and the olive oil. Toss to coat the leaves evenly with the oil.
Step 3Add the salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to the bowl. Toss again to coat the leaves evenly.
Step 4On a parchment-lined baking baking sheet, spread the kale into an even layer. Place the sheet in the preheated oven.
Step 5Bake for 10 minutes, rotate the baking sheet, then bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Step 6Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Cool the kale on the tray for 3 minutes before serving.
