Enjoy a Hot Buttered Rum after a day on the slopes or around the fire with friends. Warm up over the holidays with this tasty hot buttered rum recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar substitute (like Swerve or Stevia)

  • 1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar substitute swerve

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

  • 2 ounces spiced rum

Directions

  • For the mix
  • In a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar substitute, sugar free maple syrup and vanilla. Mix on medium speed until light and fluffy. About 3 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream, powdered sugar substitute, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Mix on low speed until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.
  • For the drink
  • Combine 2-3 tbsp of the Hot Buttered Rum – Mix and 1-2 oz spiced rum to 1/2 cup hot water. Adjust the batter / rum ratios to taste
