Lamb is a great choice for summer burgers. Lamb is very lean and keto-friendly. Depending on your choice of spices you can give it a mediterranean flair or suit it to your favorite taste. Try these burgers on the grill or the stovetop. You can shape them as kabobs or burgers.

Ingredients

  • Burger Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb

  • 1/2 red onion

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 2 tsp sumac

  • 1 tsp chili flakes

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

  • 1 tbsp chopped dill

  • Yogurt Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain, greek yogurt

  • 2 tbsp chopped dill

  • 2 garlic gloves, finely minced

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions

  • Mix the lamb ingredients in a medium bowl and set aside.
  • Mix the yogurt sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Burgers & Kabobs: form the meat into patties or oblong kabobs
  • Set grill / stove top at medium high heat .
  • Use skewers for kabobs, thread the kabobs on the skewers and place on the grill
  • For the stove top place patties in a pan on stove top.
  • Grill / cook for about 8-10 minutes or until desired level of doneness, turning once or twice while cooking.
  • Remove from heat and let the meat cool 5-7 minutes before serving.
  • Yogurt Sauce: After mixing, place yogurt sauce in refrigerator to keep chilled
  • Serve on side or top of burgers / kabobs.
