kcalLamb is a great choice for summer burgers. Lamb is very lean and keto-friendly. Depending on your choice of spices you can give it a mediterranean flair or suit it to your favorite taste. Try these burgers on the grill or the stovetop. You can shape them as kabobs or burgers.
Ingredients
Burger Ingredients
1 pound ground lamb
1/2 red onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp sumac
1 tsp chili flakes
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tbsp chopped dill
Yogurt Sauce Ingredients:
1 cup plain, greek yogurt
2 tbsp chopped dill
2 garlic gloves, finely minced
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
- Mix the lamb ingredients in a medium bowl and set aside.
- Mix the yogurt sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- Burgers & Kabobs: form the meat into patties or oblong kabobs
- Set grill / stove top at medium high heat .
- Use skewers for kabobs, thread the kabobs on the skewers and place on the grill
- For the stove top place patties in a pan on stove top.
- Grill / cook for about 8-10 minutes or until desired level of doneness, turning once or twice while cooking.
- Remove from heat and let the meat cool 5-7 minutes before serving.
- Yogurt Sauce: After mixing, place yogurt sauce in refrigerator to keep chilled
- Serve on side or top of burgers / kabobs.
