Sausage and Pepper Ragout
This spicy, meaty sauce can be served over just about anything, but it’s especially captivating over lightly sautéed zucchini noodles.
2 cups Rhode Island Red Marinara Sauce
1 pound organic bulk sausage
1 cup chopped green bell pepper

Step 1In a medium saucepan, bring the marinara to a simmer over medium heat.
Step 2In a medium skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat until cooked through, stirring to break up any clumps, about 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to add the meat to the marinara.
Step 3Add the green bell pepper to the skillet and cook it in the fat rendered from the sausage until soft, about 3 minutes. Stir it into the marinara.
Step 4Cover the marinara pot, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve.
