
Hot Buttered Rum
Warm up over the holidays with this tasty hot buttered rum recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar substitute (like Swerve or Stevia)
3 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream
1-1/2 cup powdered sugar substitute swerve
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1
2 ounces spiced rum
Directions
Step 1For the mix
Step 2In a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar substitute, sugar free maple syrup and vanilla. Mix on medium speed until light and fluffy. About 3 minutes.
Step 3Add heavy cream, powdered sugar substitute, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Mix on low speed until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.
Step 4For the drink
Step 5Combine 2-3 tbsp of the Hot Buttered Rum
Step 6Mix and 1-2 oz spiced rum to 1/2 cup hot water. Adjust the batter / rum ratios to taste
